About Vicki
I have worked in health care for nearly 20 years.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years. I have worked in medical, surgical, oncology (cancer), in-patient hospice care, and most recently in obstetrics, delivering babies. Nursing is a great career. It is what I always thought I wanted to do. At some point, though, I began to realize it was not a perfect fit for me.
Ten years ago, I stumbled upon acupuncture almost by accident. Very skeptical, I found myself in an acupuncturist’s office for some personal health issues that my doctors had been unable to manage well. This was my last resort before having surgery I did not want. I did not understand what acupuncture was, or what the treatment would entail. A year later, I was off all medications, no longer needed the surgery, and felt better than I had in a decade. For me, this was the missing piece, personally and professionally.
I now have my Master’s Degree in Chinese Acupuncture Studies from the New England School of Acupuncture. I have passed the National Clean Needle Technique Course, and I am a certified Diplomate in Acupuncture with The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of NH, and a member of the NH Acupuncture and Asian Medicine Association.
I enjoy being able to put my nursing experience to work in my acupuncture practice.
